Delivering training in-house is a cost effective way to develop staff.
However, the preparation of training courses requires both expertise in subject matter and training design and also is often very time consuming. UTrain is an e-learning training solution which is designed to fulfil your in-house training requirements in pharmaceutical analysis topics, such as HPLC training.
Watch the video below for an overview of UTrain:
The first available UTrain modules together make up an introductory HPLC training course, Basic HPLC for Pharmaceutical Analysis. This e-learning HPLC course is the best possible starting point for any HPLC operator to develop their knowledge and skills. The course is based on the MTS course An Introduction to HPLC for Pharmaceutical Analysis and is recognised by the Royal Society of Chemistry for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development.
Future courses will include topics such as: HPLC troubleshooting, HPLC analytical method development, and analytical method validation.

The UTrain package consists of three key elements:
1. Training videos are used to provide all the necessary subject information. They can be used either by an individual as self-paced learning or in a group training setting. The videos can be viewed as often as required by individual learners. We have prepared: 'A Brief Guide to HPLC Instruments' as an example. (Note that this video opens in the virtual environment for learning, e-MTS. You will need Flash installed on your computer.)
2. Workbooks containing exercises and instructions for practical experiments (where applicable) are provided so that learners can apply their new skills. These are available electronically so that they can be printed off as required (full solutions for the exercises are also provided).
3. e-Learning modules which review and assess learning are provided to allow learners to refresh their knowledge on the topic and to measure the learning formally. A training certificate is awarded on correct completion of all the questions
All three UTrain elements may be accessed online, either via e-MTS, our virtual environment for learning, or uploaded to your in-house learning management system. The UTrain package is comprised of a series of modules, each lasting approximately 90 minutes. Individual modules may be selected to suit your training needs.
Other products available from MTS are training books on topics such as HPLC and analytical method validation. Additionally, our services include training courses on HPLC and method validation, delivered at your site or via web-based training and training consultancy services such as training needs analysis (TNA).
